She is one of our most cherished twigs ever since she was hatched. A zero waste draped dress with a straight neckline and a handmade button and thread loop at the shoulder. You may simply embrace her without unbuttoning the shoulders!
A drape I serendipitously crafted after much contemplation.Cos what looked good had to be finished thoughtfully too :)
Every twig is draped by me.. A labour of love indeed.
Crafted in a handspun, handwoven natural dyed cotton juxtaposed with natural dyed temple borders in madder red and olive hues.
Just two of her nestle in.
Twigs that keep you rooted in your essence....Her fluid being will keep you in the flow too!
Ms. Serendipity Draped Dress in Indigo
Handspun and handwoven natural dyed cotton, with dual kuppadam borders in madder red and olive hues, woven in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh.
The Kuppadam is an interlocking technique used to create contrast color borders. This is achieved by a unique setting of the loom by which the border weft interlocks only with the border warp while the main weft shuttles across the main warp carrying the body color.
